We’re looking for someone to:

  • Support the AD team in coordinating cast movements and timings throughout the shooting day. 
  • Ensure cast are ready, available and in the correct place for rehearsals, blocking, filming and resets. 
  • Escort cast between holding, costume, hair & make-up, set and other locations as required. 
  • Maintain clear communication with cast and relevant departments about call times, movements and schedule changes. 
  • Assist with cast holding areas, ensuring they are appropriately managed and that cast are comfortable and supported between takes. 
  • Help the AD team respond quickly to changes in the schedule, scenes or cast requirements. 
  • Maintain professionalism, discretion and confidentiality when working closely with cast. 
  • Support the smooth running of the set by anticipating cast-related needs and escalating issues promptly to the appropriate member of the AD team

Essential:

  • Understanding of TV/film set operations — awareness of how the AD team, cast and key departments work together during a shooting day. 
  • Strong communication skills — able to communicate clearly, calmly and professionally with cast and crew, including when plans change at short notice. 
  • Excellent organisation and time management — able to track multiple cast movements, timings and requirements in a fast-moving environment. 
  • Professionalism and discretion — able to work appropriately around personal, sensitive or confidential information relating to cast. 
  • People skills and emotional awareness — able to build trust, remain approachable and handle different personalities and situations sensitively. 
  • Ability to work under pressure — able to stay calm, focused and responsive when schedules change or multiple demands arise. 
  • Good situational awareness — able to anticipate cast-related needs, identify potential delays and escalate issues appropriately. 
  • Relevant production or set experience — practical experience in a runner, cast support, AD or similar role demonstrating an understanding of professional on-set working practices.

Desired (but not essential):

  • Previous experience as a Base Runner, Cast PA, Floor Runner, Cast Assistant, or in a similar production support role. 
  • Experience working directly with cast on a TV or film production, particularly in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Previous experience coordinating multiple cast members and complex movements between departments and locations. 
  • Familiarity with on-set communication systems, including radios and relevant production tools. 
  • Experience across different genres, locations or production environments, demonstrating adaptability and good judgement.

Role Details:

Start Date: Oct/Nov 2026

Location: Office base is in Barking, most work will take place on filming locations in Greater Locations.

Contract: 5 Day Working Week / Standard Working Hours – 10
