We’re looking for someone to:

  • Assist the DIT with the offload, copying and verification (checksum) of camera media.
  • Help manage secure backups across multiple drives / LTO and maintain accurate media logs.
  • Support the labelling, tracking and safe handling of camera cards and drives.
  • Assist with the setup, running and wrap of the DIT cart and monitoring.
  • Help maintain colour and monitoring pipeline setups on set as directed (e.g. LUTs, look management).
  • Support quality-control checks of footage for technical issues, flagging any concerns to the DIT.
  • Assist with charging and management of drives, batteries and cart equipment.
  • Communicate clearly with camera, post and AD teams, following data-management protocols and on-set health & safety.

Essential:

  • A genuine interest in data management, digital imaging and on-set post workflows.
  • Careful, methodical and highly organised, with strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable and calm under the pace of a busy set.
  • Basic understanding of file management and data offload/backup principles, or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and record-keeping skills.

Desired (but not essential):

  • Familiarity with offload/verification software and checksum backups.
  • Understanding of digital cinema camera media, codecs and colour workflows (LUTs).
  • Previous DIT, data-wrangling or post-production experience.
