We’re looking for someone to:

  • Assist the Video Assist Operator in setting up, running and wrapping the video village and monitors each day.
  • Help run and manage cabling, wireless video transmitters/receivers and monitor positions on set.
  • Support the distribution of feeds to director, DoP, Script Supervisor and other departments.
  • Support playback requests during rehearsals and takes as directed.
  • Assist with recording, labelling and basic file management of playback media where required.
  • Help with charging and management of batteries, monitors and accessories.
  • Keep the video village tidy, safe and well organised.
  • Communicate clearly with camera, AD and other departments, following on-set etiquette and health & safety protocols.

Essential:

  • A genuine interest in video assist, playback and on-set workflows.
  • Reliable, punctual and calm under the pace of a busy set.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Comfortable with cables, connectors and basic AV setups, or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Physically able to help set up and move equipment as part of a team.

Desired (but not essential):

  • Some exposure to video assist software (e.g. QTAKE) or playback systems.
  • Basic understanding of video signals, connectors (SDI/HDMI) and wireless video.
  • Previous set or AV experience.
